For a New World to Come: Experiments in Japanese Art and Photography, 1968–1979

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston has announced their forthcoming exhibition For a New World to Come: Experiments in Japanese Art and Photography, 1968–1979.

Based on this exhibition, MFA Houston's curator Yasufumi Nakamori will chair a panel of the Shashin Symposium.

Shashin Symposium dates Announced

On April 24th & 25th, 2015, the New York Public Library and the International Center of Photography, will co-host a two-day symposium on photography from Japan. An illustrious assembly of scholars and curators will present a range of papers to discuss various aspects of this broad and exciting field of photography. Organised around four key topics, each panel will included a panel discussion and an artist presentation.

This event is free and open to the public.
